If you ask anyone who has seen Rene’s show, they would
tell you exactly what he hears after every performance, “Oh,
by the way, you were good too.” But seriously folks, Rene’s
show is not good. It’s great and hilarious! His energy
and animation, mixed in with funny pantomimes, leaves audiences
in laughter. His personal life experiences help create a fantastic
act. He has quickly landed Miller Lite commercials, spots on
Mun2 “Loco Comedy Jam“, The Loco Comedy Jam Tour,
as well as SiTV’s “Funny is Funny.”
When he first
started his comedy career in Houston, Texas, Rene realized
that performing in front of and making
people laugh
came naturally to him. You quickly see this as he takes the
stage. Now living in Los Angeles, California, this young
man is striving to
help put Texas comics on the map as a comedy force to be reckoned
with.
What makes
Rene’s show so unique is the fact that his comedy
is not just for Latino audiences. He hits subjects that any
race can relate to. His style has labled him as the Latin Jerry
Lewis. “Just
to be mentioned in the same sentence as a legend like Jerry
Lewis is a great honor,“ says Rene. He has worked with
acts, such as Mike Robles, host of "Que Locos" and "Loco Comedy
Jam," Joey
Medina from "The Latin Kings of Comedy," Ron White from
"The Blue Collar Comedy Tour," Cat Williams from “Friday
After Next, “
and current host of BET’s "Comicview," Sheryl Underwood.
