Rudy Moreno, the one time musician and radio announcer, is now
an actor and comedian.
Rudy Moreno has over 35 television appearances on shows like
Showtime's Latino Laugh Festival, he hosted the very popular Que
Locos for Galavision & Comedy Central. He has also appeared
in dramas such as E.R., L.A. Doctors, and most recently
on the highly acclaimed mini series KINGPIN on NBC, to which he
received great reviews. He will soon be appearing on the Emmy
Award winning drama, THE SHIELD with Michael Chiklis in November
of 2003. Rudy has also been on several sitcoms, Everybody
Loves Raymond, Cybil, A.U.S.A. and the LUIS show on FOX to name
a few.
Rudy has performed his comedy not only in the US, but abroad
in countries such as Mexico, Japan, and South Korea. Here at home
he's a veteran of comedy clubs across the country from Los Angeles
to the East Coast in Atlantic City, as well as Las Vegas and Reno.
He has opened for several acts in major Concerts: Smokey Robinson,
Gato Barbieri, Ice Cube, Natalie Cole, Tower of Power, AWB,
Tierra, Lynrd Skynyrd and many many more.
Every year for the past 10 years, Rudy has run the Komics for
Kids Toy Drive and has raised over $100,000.00 in toys for different
charities. He also has received many awards for his contributions
and community charity work. He was the key speaker for LA County
Sheriff Lee Baca in 2003 on the Sheriff's Recignition Day and
was awarded the LA County Sherriff Leadership Award for 2003 .
Rudy also produces and hosts two of L.A.'s most popular comedy
shows every week, The Latino Comedy Showcase at the Ice House
in Pasadena and the JOKERS Comedy Club at the Commerce Casino in
Los Angeles. He showcases the best comics in the country, and
also gives newcomers a chance for some stage time. "You gotta
start somewhere, so if I can provide a chance or a showcase for
somebody, then I will... I knew a kid from Long Beach that came
in to one of my rooms a couple of years ago, and now I'm asking
HIM for work!"
But there really is no shortage of work for this entertainer,
whether it's telling stories and jokes in a club, acting on
television or film, or providing entertainment to raise money
for scholarships and other charitible causes... Rudy wants it
all.
"We're all in this together and we all have fun at it. You
gotta have fun everyday, life is too short to sweat the small
stuff. Comics are a different breed... we look at the world just
a little different than most, I'm proud to be one of those guys
in a family of strange dudes!
So my advice is enjoy life... keep hold of GOD & your
family FIRST, have good friends, eat whatever the hell you want
and keep laughing! Life's too short to be pissed off all
the time.
